Lessons from my 100 Day Challenge: Passionately Failing Towards Success

Updated: Dec 9, 2022

REST MORE

Being burnt out & working 85 hours a week is not healthy nor good. This is why I'm finally trying to have more balance in my life. I now refuse to work like a horse because it is clearly not conducive to a healthy and successful life.

DO MORE OF WHAT I LOVE

I've learnt that life is too short to be doing so many things that I don't genuinely love. Or doing things with or for people who do not like nor respect me. This challenge has helped me to get clarity on the things that I am actually interested in and passionate about!

BE MORE PATIENT

Sometimes, I wonder if I am doing something wrong. But while I was doing this challenge, I realised that I'm exactly where I am meant to be. It's all about timing. I discovered that being driven, persistent, willing to work hard, never giving up & being patient are great qualities.

BELIEVE IN MYSELF MORE

It has been evident during my challenges this year how much people discredit me & undervalue my abilities. But it's a good thing that I have enough faith in myself so the lack of belief from others just becomes fuel for me to continue & NEVER give up.

GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME

Success doesn't come easy and quick. It takes time & effort. Great accomplishments cannot be done overnight and this had made me reflect more on my progress, the lessons I am learning & the experiences I am gaining.

DO THINGS JUST FOR OURSELVES

During my challenges, I realised some of the public parts that I post may not get a lot of engagement. However, I am learning so much from it and that's what counts. There are a lot of times we have to do what is best for us even if people judge or don't approve of what we do or say. In an age where going viral or getting likes signifies "popularity" or that you are "good" just doesn't necessarily mean that it's best for me.

CELEBRATE ALL OUR WINS

We definitely need to celebrate our wins, however big or small. One of my goals during this challenge was to go sugar free for 100 days. I made it to 48 days without sugar. I didn't reach my target number of 100 but 48 days is a great accomplishment. And yes, I could focus on the fact I didn't do 50% but I choose to celebrate the fact that I lasted 48 days and that's heaps!!!

There are a lot more things I learnt during my challenge like consistency, self belief, patience & more. The biggest area is being able to follow through, doing something that allows me to consistently monitor my goals & progress.

And as you know, this won't be my last challenge as I am already looking forward to doing my next one!
