Things I Look Forward To: "Passionately Failing Towards Success".

Say hello to my 43rd blog!

And while this year has been wrought with so many challenges, equally huge milestones and some cliffhangers, I thought I should write something optimistic. So for this post, I would like to share the things that I'm looking forward to.

GETTING MY OWN HOUSE

Yes, it's happening. By the grace of god, and by sheer tenacity, I will be a homeowner very soon. This will be made possible by the numerous hours spent on a few jobs and the fact that I am very determined to make this goal a reality. This is also in line with my wish to give my daughter and I a roof over our heads that we can call our own. It isn't easy juggling multiple jobs while running a business but my determination is bigger than the odds.

GOING ON A HOLIDAY

After a very exhausting year, it's finally time for a much needed holiday. I will be off to Asia this month to spend a few weeks of serious rest and relaxation. Under the sun, on the beach, eating good food and spending time with good company. I've earned it and I'm going to make sure I make the most out of this rare opportunity to visit another country and soak in some culture while enjoying the sights and sounds of the Philippines.

PUBLISHING MY LATEST CHILDREN'S BOOK

My newest children's book called 'I Am The Boss of my Emotions" is coming out soon! I am quite proud of this milestone not just for myself, but for our entire Maia Dreams team. I couldn't have accomplished this feat had it not been for the massive and collaborative efforts from my team. We all pitched in to give this book its unique flavor from the illustrations, to the dialogues and even the color palette. It really takes a village and I've never been happier to work alongside people whose creative endeavors match my own.

WRAPPING UP 2022

As this year slowly comes to an end, I am grateful for the things it has brought me. Whether it's the numerous challenges I've had to face or several glitches along the way, I managed to pull through. We were able to publish and print out 500 copies of our 30 Day Challenge journal and have it shipped to New Zealand all the way from China, concluded our in-school and out of school Confident Me Programmes, performed Whakawetiweti at the Fringe Festival, bagged a few TV commercials and restructured Maia Dreams Team's organization chart. As they all say .. all in a day's work.

GEARING UP FOR 2023

I have already mentioned this several times but it bears repeating. So here goes .. the year 2023 will be an epic year for me. It will be the biggest one to date for several reasons. Some of our major projects and transitions are already in the works and we've been relentless in our pursuit to cover all angles before we conquer the coming year. Our road map has been laid out, business plans revisited and restructured, we've adopted the 'divide and conquer' mentality within the team and we're all ready for battle. And we will emerge victorious because it's our only choice. So, I hope 2023 is ready for me because I'm all geared up for it!
